Grease traps - are small grease management devices that usually due to their size are serviced a little more often than grease interceptors. They are designed to capture F.O.G. (FATS, OIL, GREASE) before it enters the city sewer line.
Grease Traps sizes: typical size is usually 10 gal, 25 gal, 50 gal, 125 gal, 250 gal, up to 500 gal with some variations.
Trap Location: usually in the kitchen under the sink but sometimes also right under food service counter or in utility rooms, however, some bizarre hard to access locations are possible as well.
Grease Interceptors -
size: 500 gal - 10000 gal or even bigger systems
Same purpose as grease trap - to capture F.O.G. - usually serviced with longer frequency intervals due to overall capacity.
